Wilbur William Wahl

Wilbur William (Bill) Wahl, Age 84, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. Born on June 1, 1942, in Westlake Ohio, Bill was the loving son of Wilbur and Anna Catherine Wahl. He spent his life devoted to his loving wife Ruth Wahl. He adored his children, touched countless lives with his kindness and loved everyone. He was a joy to the world.

He played football on his high school team and served in the Navy. His lifelong hobby was in competition shooting. He shared this interest with his son Jeff and grandsons Kenny and Shaun. He won a state of Georgia’s Olympic pistol shooting competition. Bill worked in sales and marketing throughout his career.

Above all else, Bill cherished time spent with family and friends. His love, guidance, kindness and encouragement will be deeply missed. He took care of his wife, Ruth, during her failing health years. He was devoted to her and her care.

Bill is survived by his children Cindi Wahl Ferris, Jeff Wahl, Michelle Wahl Vamos, Debbie Rykbost, Scott Uline, Andrea Sizemore and Michelle James: He is survived by 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth. Bill’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be forever missed.
