Wilda M Chase (Harbison)

Wilda M. Harbison Chase, 94, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016. She was born on Satuday, March 18, 1922 in Cullman, AL, daughter of the late Maudie Laurence Harbison and the late Samuel Fernando Harbison. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert E. Chase, of Summerville, SC; daughter, Brenda Jo (Andy) Andrews, of Savannah, GA; daughter, JoDi (Jerry) Bennett, of Summerville, SC; son, Rick (April) Chase, of Phoenix, AZ. Wilda has seven grandchildren, Jennifer Andrews, KC Andrews, Robert Chase, Darren Bennett, Cherie Bennett, Aleisa Chase, Richard Chase and Sommer Chase Delacruz. She is survived by twelve great-grandchildren; Chase, Kale, Tucker, Will, Dargan, Brayden, Kaelin, Gavin, Tyson, Allie, Maddon and Cadence. Wilda is survived by three siblings, Wilbert (Hazel) Harbison, of Lakeland, FL; Pauline (Ralph) Barbano of Mt. Dora, FL; and Rheda Griner, of Leesburg, FL. Wilda was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She loved gardening and growing all varieties of fruits, vegetables and roses. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all. A private Celebration of Life was held on September 18, 2016 for immediate family.
