William McAuley Davey

William M. Davey (91) a.k.a. “The Newf,” born on June 23, 1934, in Toronto, Canada, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Charleston, SC. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, valued by those who knew him for his warmth and generosity.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Hallmann); daughters, Arlene (Kyle), Rhonda (Chris), Ursula (Kyle); son, Brad (Jewel); grandchildren, Eric (Andrea), Pamela (Alex), Krista, Samantha, Jacqui (Ryan), Ryan, Melanie, Connor (Halle), Allie (Tyler), Alyssa (Ryan), Dakota (Ashley), Lilah; and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember his wisdom, humor, and dedication. William leaves behind an enduring legacy through the many lives he influenced, and the memories created over the years. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
