William Leslie Davenport, 59, of Charleston, died November 19, 2015. Born in Bethesda, MD, to the late Leslie and Shirley Davenport. He grew up in Charleston and graduated from Stall High School, he later attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Bill was a Vice President and Licensed Customs Broker at Livingston International (formerly Hipage). His work transitioned to his home life, as he kept everything “super” organized. Family was everything. He loved his children and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill enjoyed watching Duke Basketball and playing the piano. Bill is survived by his children, Rhiannon Davenport Brady and her husband Jamie of Greensboro, NC, Bryce Davenport and his fiancé Doug of Charleston, and John Davenport and his wife Krystal of Charleston; brother, Jeff Davenport and his husband Troy of Washington, D.C; sister, Deborah Davenport of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Maggie Mickle Brady, Briana Davenport, Laci Davenport, Joshua Broom, and Tommy Broom; and the mother of his children, Joan Davenport of Charleston. A celebration of life will be held Monday, November 23, 2015, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
