Willie Williams

Willie Williams, 86, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. 

Born on January 17, 1939, in Cairo, GA, Willie was the son of the late Lou-Jessie Daniels (Bentley) and the late Willie Williams. 

Willie proudly served 30 years in the Navy, until he retired as Command Master Chief. From there, he worked as a retail manager. Willie was an avid golfer. His golf club was The Mulligan Men. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and the LA Dodgers. Willie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going on cruises with them.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents and his step-son, Charles Donald Wilhelm, III; sisters, Willie Mae Williams and Jessie Mae Williams; and brothers: James Williams, Sonny Williams and David Daniels.

Willie is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Williams; sons, David Ray Williams and William Stephen Osborn, Jr. (Sonya); daughters: Mary-Louise Williams-Jackson, D'andrea M. Williams and Courtnea Wilhelm; grandchildren: Alyssa M. Williams, Haley M. Williams, David Ray Williams, Jr., Devin Payne, Jaxon Ramon Caban, Willie Aquilino Caban, and Ingrid Walker (Moe); great-grandson, Elijah Ray Westfall-Williams; sister, Hattie Mae Tucker, and brother, Samuel Daniels (Josephine). 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation in Goose Creek.

The service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 27, 2025 at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, in Goose Creek. The burial at sea will be conducted by the Navy.
